Thailand is famous for its excellent food, its people and their smile, its beaches, and its orchids (in no particular order). The Thai orchids called Gluay Mhai in Thai are exported all over the world (Thailand is the world biggest exporter of cut orchids) . They have more than 1000 species of them. And they therefore have a lot of orchid farms to show them off, especially in Chiang Mai. The one where we took the pictures shown here is on the way to Mae Rim, located just before the left turn from the main road that will lead you to the Maesa elephant camp.
La Thaïlande est connue pour sa nourriture excellente, le sourire de ses habitants et habitantes, ses plages et ses orchidées (entre autres). Les orchidées Thaïlandaises appellées Gluay Mhai en Thaïlandais sont exportées partout dans le monde. Ils en ont plus de 1000 variétés. Et vous trouverez en Thaïlande beaucoup de fermes d'orchidées pour les montrer aux touristes de passage. Et surtout à Chiang Mai. La plus rare et donc la plus chère, si ce n'est la plus belle, est l'orchidée blanche car on la trouve rarement dans la nature.
But personnally I prefer the ones having a bit more colors
